Being a part of the audience at a TED or TEDx event is as important as speaking onstage. That’s why this isn’t a “walk-up,” open-ticketed event.
Applications are open now for our May 14, 2011 conference and will close on or before March 27, so don’t delay.
Conversations will be active, and everyone is encouraged to step outside their usual circles to cross-pollinate those interactions.
The Wisdom of Play conference theme offers the chance to explore play, wisdom, experimentation, insight, risk, horizon lines, adventure, intention, wonder, perception, curiosity, and knowledge throughout our lives. Although the words “wisdom” and “play” may evoke opposed images and responses, this year’s TEDxBloomington conference is about the fertile ground where the two intersect in our daily working lives.
An amazing array of speakers will speak to the theme in diverse and surprising ways, designed to intrigue, inspire and, we hope, ignite actions small and large to improve the world.
The Buskirk-Chumley Theater will be jumping on May 14. We’ll also announce other Wisdom of Play events soon, in preparation!
And don’t forget to apply to join us in May!
